I'm Dan
A web designer and digital strategist based in Christchurch, working with small businesses across New Zealand.
My view is simple: the businesses that grow in the next five years won't necessarily have the best product. They'll be the easiest to find - on Google, on AI tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, and Claude, on the platforms their customers actually use.
Most small businesses aren't there yet. Reliance on a Facebook page, running sales process from memory, and storing company knowledge in someone's head is an all too common problem. It's not a marketing problem... It's a structural one.
I help fix the structure. Websites that work. Digital systems that run without you. BD and sales processes turned into something repeatable - built to scale.
THE PROBLEM
Most small businesses have a visibility problem. They just don't know it yet.
Relying on a Facebook account is risky. Keeping your sales and BD process inside someone's head isn't scaleable or saleable. And a website that nobody can find is just an expensive brochure.

When I'm not working, I'm usually somewhere that involves mud, salt water, or elevation. Biking the Port Hills, exploring trails around Canterbury, chasing surf on the West Coast, or somewhere further afield with a camera in hand.
It keeps me honest. And it tends to produce better work than sitting still.
