Most businesses know when something isn't working. The website question is usually: is it the site, or is it something else?
Here are the honest signs your current site is holding you back.
1. You're Embarrassed to Share It
If you hesitate before sending your URL to a potential client, that's the clearest signal there is. Your website should be something you're proud to put in front of people.
2. You Can't Remember the Last Time It Was Updated
Google notices when a site goes stale. So do customers. A site with no fresh content signals a business that isn't paying attention.
3. It Doesn't Work Properly on Mobile
More than half of web traffic is mobile. If your site is painful to use on a phone, you're losing people constantly — and most of them won't bother telling you.
4. You Have No Idea If It's Getting Traffic
If you don't have analytics set up — or you have it set up but never look at it — you're flying blind. You have no idea whether your site is helping or hurting.
5. Your Customers Don't Come Through It
If you're getting most of your work through referrals and your website plays no part, it's not doing its job.
If two or more of those ring true, let's have an honest conversation about what needs to change.
